Rolex enthusiasts are divided into those who appreciate the magnifying glass over the date and those who dislike it. Technical considerations aside, the lack of a cyclops is often the main reason for choosing the Sea-Dweller. This model remains more austere, more utility-oriented, and true to the professional character of the divers' line.

The piece on display is a real collector's item. It's a 1992 Ref. 16600 (N series) with tritium on the dial and hands. This means that the indices acquire a natural, creamy-beige patina over time—and this example already shows a subtle, highly aesthetic warming of the color.

The watch is in excellent condition, showing only very minor signs of wear. The case is particularly noteworthy—beautifully preserved, with distinct cuts on the lugs and a sharp edge separating them from the case sides. This is a key detail in collector's models. The bezel, dial, and hands all look very attractive and cohesive.

The Sea-Dweller 16600 is the last generation of the classic aluminum Sea-Dweller before the introduction of ceramic solutions. Its slimmer case, lack of a magnifying glass, and exceptional water resistance make it one of Rolex's most prized neo-vintage divers.
