Description
We are delighted to offer you this beautiful GMT-Master 2 Reference 16760 ‘Fat Lady’.
The Ref. 16760 was only manufactured between 1982 and 1989 and was the first GMT-Master II. In order to accommodate the then new caliber 3085, the case and lugs were made slightly thicker than on the previous reference, which led to the watch's nickname, ‘Fat Lady’.
This example of the GMT-Master 2 was produced around 1987 and has a 9 million serial number. The case is in very good condition with beautiful, still thick lugs. The edges are sharp, as befits its age. The tritium dial is well preserved and has a partially dark brown patina on the luminous material and a slightly “pimply” surface on parts of the dial. The hands are the matching original tritium hands, which have undergone the same patination process. A small piece of the luminous material is missing from the minute hand. The patina is the result of previous moisture damage.
The Oyster bracelet is in very good condition with hardly any stretch. The clasp is stamped I9.
The watch has been fully checked by our workshop and comes with a 1-year warranty.
