The 5 Best Summer Watches under 5k

Omega Seamaster Diver 300M

One of my personal favorites is the Omega Seamaster Diver 300M. And not just the black or white version, but the green Master Chronometer with the green rubber strap and green wave dial. Man, I love that watch. It’s a bit too big to put on my wrist, but this watch sells for €4995, so we’ve got €5 left for some nice ice-cream on the beach. Another option, the one I would probably go for, is the Seamaster Diver 300M in 36mm with the blue dial and bezel, on a steel bracelet or maybe on a nice nato-strap for the current heat. Priced at around €2.500, this really is a steal. Both of these Seamasters are robust, made for diving, so would be suitable for some summer-time adventures.

The Rolex Air-King

Again, not just some Air-King, since I’m not that big of a fan of the modern pieces, but the 34mm neo-vintage one. I know, it’s not suitable to wear on the beach, but when you’re enjoying yourself on the campsite, hiking or doing drinks with friends, this is my go-to watch. The 34mm Air-King bearing reference 14010, with the pink dial, late 90s on a steel bracelet. And you can find plenty of these watches for under €5.000, as a watch only or even a full-set. I’d go for the watch only since I don’t really care about box and papers, and it saves me some nice money for those drinks at the beach with friends. First round is on me! 

Breitling Colt

I’m usually not a Breitling guy, but I will make an exception for this summer-list. We’ve sold plenty of Breitling Colt’s lately, and sometimes we even deliver these pieces at our HQ, which is always a pleasure. And the best thing about these Breitling Colt watches is the fact that these dials really come to life when the sun hits it, and you don’t have to break the bank to get your hands on one. You can already buy one for around €1.350, being a Quartz or Automatic. 

Nomos Club

Being someone that likes their watches to be a bit smaller, the NOMOS Club Neomatik with the small-seconds dial, the beautiful case and finishdsad and the colorful dials, is probably my go-to on a night out. Colorful dials, being a bit different, luminous hands, the possibility to change straps within seconds, yes! This could be a really good one for the summer. And it sells for €2.500 brand-new. 

Tudor Black Bay

It’s no secret that I am a huge Tudor fan. Not just because of the price compared to Rolex, but the look and feel. I don’t know, but their collection just hits me in the right spot. And that’s the reason my absolute favorite would be the Tudor Black Bay, either the GMT with the white dial, or the latest release with the vintage Coke inspiration. Both of these watches can be found under €5.000, and that would probably be the best one to pick for me, personally. For the summer the white dial would be the best option (for around €3.600 pre-owned), but the black dial with the black and red bezel insert would be my go-to watch for the rest of the year.
