Successor of the James Cameron Sea-Dweller
The experimental watch James Cameron wore at the Mariana Trench descent in 2012 is the forerunner of the just-released Rolex model. The new Rolex Sea-Dweller Deepsea Challenge is an absolute hit for people who like to work underwater. The watch is water resistant to 11,000 meters (110 bar) and features a rotating bezel with a 60-minute division. The bezel is made of black ceramic Cerachrom, an Oyster band and the case is made of the ultra-tough RLX titanium.
Features of the new Deepsea Challenge
As we already wrote, the watch is water resistant to 11,000 meters, which is quite a feat for an average watch. This diver's watch has a luminescent display so that you can also keep track of the time and decompression time underwater. And all that for only €25,950 as a retail price at authorized dealers. The expectation is that this watch, like other watches from Rolex, will increase in value. The first watches will appear online on the luxury watch market for around €30,000 to €32,000, depending on the supply and demand of this particular watch. You must have quite a large wrist if you can and want to wear a 50mm watch. Especially with these specs.
