Zenith SportoSaurer Signed Dial 35mm. A rare Zenith Sporto with ‘Saurer’ signed Dial. The watch is from the 1950s and comes in an unpolished 35mm stainless steel case. It features the hand-wound Zenith Calibre 126 movement. Finding a Zenith signed by Saurer is difficult, finding a Zenith signed by Saurer in such a large case is even more difficult. This piece is all the more special because, as can be seen in the pictures, the condition of the watch is absolutely beautiful. This watch marks one of the earliest brand collaborations between a mechanical watchmaker and a historically important engine manufacturer. What makes this piece particularly special is that it has the plastic protective base on the movement, which is in perfect condition. This is a clever feature of the Zenith Sporto watches, which is designed to provide additional protection for the movement. For a watch from that time, it is an absolute rarity. A beautiful piece for lovers of history and technology. We are pleased to be able to offer an extremely rare collector’s watch at a fair price.
