The Omega Speedmastser

One of the most iconic watches in the Omega collection is the Speedmaster. Ever since, the Omega Speedmaster Professional is a true classic and highly sought-after by collectors and enthusiasts.

Limited edition Speedmaster

There are some different Omega Speedmaster watches available on Wristler. Starting with a vintage or pre-owned Professional, you can spend around €5.000 on a piece. While there are some extremely rare pieces like the reference 2998, these watches go up in value and will cost you almost €20.000.

There is another option from 2017, which is the ‘Speedy Tuesday’ at it costs you well over €10.000 to own one, while the original list price was only €6.500. You might get lucky and get your hands on a Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon: it features a case made of black ceramic which is scratch-resistant and sells for around €10.000.

When you look at other brands, there were certain nicknames for watches. The same goes for the Speedmaster with a white dial: this timepiece was called ‘Snoopy’ and is priced around €20.000 to €25.000 for a never worn version of this watch.

In 2021, the Speedmaster saga continuous with the New Moonwatch Omega Speedmaster. This watch features the caliber 3861 and has a 42mm case size. The New Moon Speedmaster was introduced and made of rose or white gold alongside the stainless-steel models. These watches are popular amongst collectors and thus cost you €35.000 up to €45.000 a piece.

Since 1957

For all the retro lovers out there

Omega released the Speedmaster ’57, which resembles the original Speedmaster from 1957. The version from 2017 was limited to 3557 pieces and looks like the original Speedmaster from back in the days.

Omega has released some more retro, or vintage looks for the Speedmaster.

It has been in production since 1957 and a lot of different models were added to the Omega collection. You could opt for the Speedmaster Racing which features a white dial and was meant for the motorsport, but you can also pick your favorite ceramic model like the Dark Side of the Moon.

Most popular Speedmaster model

The Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch

The Omega Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch is surely one of the most popular models out there. When the first humans stepped foot on the moon in ’69, they were equipped with a Speedmaster Professional. These watches could handle temperatures from -18 to 93 degrees Celsius, vibrations, vacuum pressure and more. That makes the Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch the perfect toolwatch for everyday use.

Over the past years, Omega did change some things to the Omega Speedmaster Professional. The hands and indices now use SuperLuminova instead of tritium and now uses sapphire crystal instead of plexiglass. Most of the fans or enthusiasts need the Moonwatch to feature the plexiglass.
