Rolex 2025 Reveals: Bold Predictions for Watches & Wonders!

It’s that time of the year again, where Rolex has increased their listing prices again on the first of January, but now it’s time to look forward to April: Watches&Wonders is around the corner! We’re pretty excited already, , read up about rumors and we’ve got some of our predictions for you lined up as well. For sure, we don’t know whether this really is going to happen, but let a man dream, right? Enjoy!

Watches&Wonders 2024

Last year, the debuts of new models or variations on models within the Rolex catalog has been a bit disappointing. The only new watch we really liked was the new Rolex GMT-Master II with the grey and black bezel (reference 126710GRNR). The 1908 which was released in platina also looks amazing, but, we haven’t seen one on the market just yet. And that’s a bit weird if you ask me.

The internet blew up when Rolex introduced the full gold Sea-Dweller Deepsea, which must feel like a ton of gold on your wrist when diving, which doesn’t make any sense. Same goes for the Daytona filled with diamonds, but hey, you can’t argue on taste.

Watches&Wonders 2025

On the first of April (no joke) the Watches and Wonders 2025 will kick-off in Geneva. Over 50 brands will exhibit their newest models and collections, and one of these brands is Rolex of course. What’s their release going to be this year? Are we in for some new dials and diamonds on their existing catalog? Or is it something new? We’ve got you some renders, and our predictions for this year. They're based on the rumors in the market and our own predictions.

Complicated: to the moon?

The Rolex Sky-Dweller is the most complicated watch Rolex produces, but it might be time for something new, something complicated. And, the 1908 would be the perfect fit for a moonphase indicator on the dial, don’t you think? The 1908 measures 39mm, so it’s close to the perfect dresser with a moonphase complication. The last time Rolex produced a moonphase, it housed the Cellini case, so it would be a logic next step.

GMT-Master II Coke

Yes, we’re here with the same rumors again. And, a nice looking render. The fact is that the GMT-Master will turn 70 years old in 2025, so that would be a nice excuse for Rolex to bring back the black and red bezel on the GMT, making a brand new Rolex GMT-Master II ‘Coke’. Or might there be something else, maybe even a platinum GMT-Master II to celebrate the 70 years anniversary?

Stone dials? My Personal favorite

When it comes to wishes, I would really like a stone dial. These (neo) vintage stone dials are just amazing, like the Onyx, Malachite and many more. How cool would it be to see some new Datejust watches with stone dials? We’ve got you sorted on a render, so please enjoy. When it comes to pricing, these will easily set you back way over €20.000 retail, since (neo) vintage stone dials are pretty pricy as well. Let’s hope for the best.

Two-Tone Oyster Perpetual

Back in the day, Rolex used to produce a two-tone (and even full gold) Oyster Perpetual. And I think that would be awesome to see another new version of a two-tone Oyster Perpetual in April this year. I mean, look at the render. That looks pretty awesome, right? A simple and clean dial, no Cyclops to mess things up and a two-tone bracelet and case. And probably just under €10.000. That would just be a mega hit again.

Discontinued Models: What to Expect

While most rumors focus on new releases, some models are also expected to be discontinued. The strongest speculation is around the GMT-Master II Pepsi, which could be retired to make way for the anticipated GMT-Master II Coke. This shift would mirror Rolex’s strategy from last year. Additionally, the diamond-set Daytona models introduced in 2024 might not make it past this year, as Rolex often cycles out highly embellished designs. Will these models truly disappear? We’ll have to wait and see.

We're curious to see what this year will bring. What are your predictions?

Please note that these are all our predictions based on rumors heard around the market and our own thoughts.
