Wristler – Insights – Recap May 2025

We’ve built Wristler for transparency, safety and an honest market. So, that’s the reason we’re writing all about our experiences, our ups and downs and what we’ve accomplished as a team. So you’ll get the idea of what we do, how we do it and how we run our business. Transparency is key, especially when you’re planning on spending loads on your newly desired watch. One of the main things we’ve seen in May 2025 is that we’ve sold a lot of watches with a green dial. Is that because of the summer? So the green dial really pops? Or is it because the hype is real and people are getting used to it? Don’t know that answer, but we’ve sold multiple Datejust’s with a green dial (in all sizes), Breitling Chronomat’s with the green dial and some Cartiers. But the real bangers? We’ve got it lined up for you. Spoiler: smaller watches matter. And! Something we really like: more feminine customers. Let’s dive into our personal favorites!

We’ve put together our Top-5 for May 2025, and to be honest, it’s still crazy to see that all of you find your way to Wristler and decide to trust us. Rolex Cellini

At first, we’re starting (again, just like last month) with a crazy Rolex Cellini. You might think that it’s just a small watch, but there’s a catch: this solid white gold 28mm Rolex Cellini was bought by a lady from The Netherlands. And she liked it, but she didn’t like the strap that came with

the watch. So, after some e-mails back and forth, she wanted us to change the strap and send it over. Due to health issues, she couldn’t do that herself, so we’ve asked our Certified Seller from Germany to send over the watch to our HQ, we’ve hand-picked a new alligator strap in black and changed it for her. It looks stunning, enjoy this awesome piece!

Cartier Tank Basculante

Our second favorite of the month is the amazing Cartier Tank Basculante. Sold from the same Certified Seller as the white gold Cellini, and damn. This Basculante is something else. This customer from France wanted a Cartier within a budget of €4.000, and we’ve selected this one as our personal favorite. Thankfully, the customer agreed and ordered this amazing piece of history. Especially for this budget, this really was a steal, even though €4.000 is a lot of money.

Rolex Day-Date

Now, this one is something special. A customer from The Netherlands bought a gold-plated Oyster Perpetual from the 70s. And he was over the moon with this watch. Just a couple of days later, he texted us that he wanted to buy another watch, on a leather strap as well, but this time in solid gold. So, he decided it was time for an 18038 Day-Date (yes, the one with the quickset) and he ordered his second watch on Wristler within days! That’s totally awesome, right? Enjoy, Mr B! Appreciate it.

Oyster Perpetual 31mm

We all know Rolex released their new catalog in the beginning of April this year, and usually it takes a while before these watches arrive on the secondary market. But this time, their production was really fast apparently, since we already had the pleasure to sell the first Oyster Perpetual with the matte finish in pink. The same reference number, but a new and updated look for the OP in 31mm.

Rolex 1908

Our last favorite from May 2025 is a special one. Especially, since this is (again) a returning customer which we love the most. This customer from Belgium ordered a white gold Day-Date 40 in 2023, with the green dial. He enjoys the watch on a daily basis, but it was time for another banging piece in his collection. So, together with one of our Certified Sellers we’ve found the Rolex Oyster Perpetual 1908. Yes, the perfect dresser from Rolex if you ask me. That piece is so cool, the finish, the dial, it’s close to perfection. And the best thing is that we’ve managed to find a brand-new piece from 2025 just under the listed retail price from Rolex. A small gesture, but with big impact. Enjoy, Mr S!

May was crazy, what’s going on?

So, we’ve started May a bit slower than expected, but the last part of May was absolutely crazy when it comes to sales and unique visitors. That being said, in June it’s already taking off in a way that we would never expect it to: we’re on 70% of our target already in this month, so we’re only excited for what’s coming up in the next couple of weeks.
