We’re in the middle of the Olympic Games 2024 and Omega is the official timekeeper for this event. With the release of the CK 859 for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, that was already a pleasure to look at. But, Omega decided it was time for some extra news and discreetly released a new line-up for their Aqua Terra collection. With the addition of multiple new references cased in Moonshine Gold, it’s now time to shine.

Different shades of Gold

Omega has tested with different shades of gold over the past few years, with Sedna Gold at first, which was the brand’s vision of pink gold and later Canopus Gold followed, which is white gold. Moonshine Gold is the yellow gold version, which also can be found on the Swatch x Omega collection. Moonshine Gold was first presented back in 2019 on the Speedmaster Apollo 11 – the 50th anniversary edition. It features silver, copper and palladium for color and stability, having a better fade resistance compared to the classic 18k yellow gold. And now, you can find Moonshine Gold on the all-new Seamaster Aqua Terra and it looks stunning. Wow.

The Seamaster Aqua Terra – 3 new combinations

With the latest release of the Moonshine Gold Aqua Terra, Omega decided to go for the 41mm version which is the more masculine edition. It’s now available in two solid gold versions, with a PVD green dial. You can opt for the rubber strap (in green) or the full gold bracelet. The dial features the classic horizontal striped pattern, with solid gold applied hour markers and hands.

There is a two-tone version available as well, which is the steel and Moonshine Gold Seamaster Aqua Terra in 41mm, featuring the black dial, solid gold hour markers and hands with the two-tone bracelet. This one really competes with the Rolesor Datejust 41 in Gold and Steel with the black dial. Which one is your favorite?

Key Features on the Seamaster Aqua Terra

All of the dimensions stay the same on the latest release, meaning a 41mm case, 13.4mm thickness and an open case-back to view the Calibre 8900 or 8901 (the latter for the solid gold pieces). With a 60 hour power-reserve, a practical time-zone function this is an amazing piece to add to your collection. The two-tone version of the new Aqua Terra is the most affordable one, starting at €14.800 retail. The Moonshine Gold versions will set you back €24.200 on rubber, while the full gold bracelet will cost €42.500. Oops. That’s some serious cash for these pieces to be honest.

More news!

There’s more news from Omega, with the release of the 38mm Seamaster Aqua Terra in Moonshine Gold, which might be the best looking Seamaster Aqua Terra around, since the watch measures 38mm and 12.3mm thickness. With the addition to the 38mm collection, you can now opt for the two-tone 38mm AT with a red burgundy-ish dial, a two-tone case and bracelet which looks stunning. The full gold version features a blue dial, and is the classy looking of these two. The two-tone version will set you back €14.100, while the full Moonshine Gold (with that blue dial) costs €38.600.
