Back in the game: Tudor partners up with AlphaTauri Formula One Team in 2024

With the Formula One Season of 2024 not even on its way, there are already a lot of speculations going around about the changes this season will bring. Different liveries and sponsorships are slowly being announced. Not only these, but also different driver line-ups! Hamilton to Ferrari in 2025? That is another story. AlphaTauri Their New Team Name

One of the announcements that has recently made its way into the news, is the changing of the team’s name from the Red Bulls. The formula one team where it all started for Max Verstappen, formerly known as Torro Rosso, or AlphaTauri has decided to change it’s name, because of the new sponsors for coming season. This name is going to be Visa Cash App RB Formula One Team (VCARB). The name of the new sponsors Visa and Cash App had to make it into the team-name, as they are now one of their main official partners. Did AlphaTauri fall for the big money?

AlphaTauri: From Casio to Tudor

Recently there has been another announcement. The watch brand Tudor, the sister brand of Rolex, the Formula One’s official Timepiece is said to join the Red Bulls as their new official watch partner! As of late, the formula one team AlphaTauri did not have an official watch partner. They have been seeing partnering up with Casio Edifice, but not as an official watch partner. For Tudor this is not the first partnership with one of the sporting teams of the conglomerate Red Bull. Tudor already had a partnership with the Allinghi Red Bull Racing team. This is a competitive sailing team which has been seen winning the America’s Cup twice already.

What kind of watch are we looking at?

The watch that Tudor used to label the partnership with the Alinghi Sailing Team, was the Tudor Pellagos FXD. This was a lightweight watch made from a carbon composite. Is this in line with the expectations of the Visa Cash App RB Formula One team in 2024? Tudor has released a Tudor Prince Chronograph in 2023 in full gold. There are speculations that a stainless-steel or titanium variant of this watch is going to be the next watch we are going to see being worn on the wrists of their drivers.
