Zenith El Primero
Zenith El Primero
When it comes to breaking boundaries, the Zenith El Primero was one of those watches that did: it was the first ever automatic chronograph caliber and is known for its precision, quality and reliability. For years, the El Primero caliber was used in the Rolex Daytona as well.
The El Primero from Zenith
The world-famous chronograph caliber, the El Primero was released in 1969 and was the first ever automatic chronograph movement ever made. It can measure 1/10th of a second thanks to the balance frequency of 36.000vph. These movements were used in the El Primero, but also in the Chronomaster and Chronomaster Sport collections later on.
When it comes to the classic Zenith El Primero, you can opt for numerous options on the dial. You can opt for a skeleton dial, a grey dial, white or black. When you’re planning to get your hands on a Zenith El Primero, you can wear this piece on rubber, on leather or a stainless-steel or titanium bracelet, whatever suits your needs. Prices start at roughly €5.000 for a pre-owned piece, but you can easily spend way over €10.000 for a limited edition or a titanium skeletonized El Primero.
