U-Boat Watches

Even though the company was only founded back in 2000, the history stretches back to 1942 when they’ve found design of the initial watches from the Fontana grandfather Ilvo. Italo, his grandson, was so fascinated by the designs that he decided to make those designs into real watches. It would take seven years to build their collection and to present the watches to the great public. 

The watches: U-Boat

With a strong focus on tool watches that could be used in any situation, the U-Boat collection starts at roughly €1.000 for the Capsoil SS with an oil-filled case and a quartz movement. The U-Boat collection contains models with the crown on the left side and larger case, measuring up to 56mm in diameter. The smallest watch in the U-Boat collection measures 38mm, making it the perfect watch for medium and larger sized wrists.

When it comes to pricing, you can spend €1.000 on a U-Boat, but that’s not all. If you’re in the market for a Flightdeck 925 chronograph in sterling silver and diamonds, you need to bring at least €12.000 to the table to call it your own. Most of the watches from U-Boat are priced between €2.000 and €6.000, making it a nice luxury watch brand available for larger wrists.
