The Tudor Pelagos
Made of titanium, the Tudor Pelagos is the perfect watch for you when you love diving. It’s a professional tool watch with movements with a 70-hour power reserve. These watches are light since they are made of titanium and perfect to wear, even on a daily basis.
All you need to know about the Tudor Pelagos
Back in 2012, the sister company from Rolex brought this piece to life as the Tudor Pelagos. With a water resistance of 500 meters, it’s the perfect watch for divers. Until 2015 it featured the ETA caliber 2824, but later on it was replaced by an in-house movement. The name from this watch comes from the Greek word ‘pélagos’, which means sea or ocean. Because of the helium escape valve, the titanium watch is perfect for saturation diving where divers breathe a mixture of helium and oxygen.
With another cool and patented feature on the Tudor Pelagos, is the fact that it has a fold-over clasp on the titanium bracelet. This makes it easier for you to adjust the band quickly, so it fits. It can also lengthen or shorten itself depending on the environmental pressure.
The Tudor Pelagos measures 42mm with a satin brushed titanium case. They all feature the unidirectional rotatable diving bezel with a black or blue ceramic insert. To make it easier for you to tell the time under water, SuperLuminova is used on the square hour indices and the ‘snowflake’ hour markers.
