The original Santos was developed in order of the Brazilian pilot Santos-Dumont with a stainless-steel square case and Roman numerals on the dial. If you want to get your hands on a re-creation of the original watch, you can opt for the Cartier Santos-Dumont. These modern timepieces share the original square case from the early 1900s, the prominent bezel with eight exposed screws and beaded crown with a blue cabochon.
With the Santos-Dumont you can get your hands on the precise quartz movements or an automatic movement in the Cartier Santos-Dumont XL. You can opt for the XL in stainless-steel, two-tone, yellow gold or rose gold and cost you between €5.000 and €50.000 for a rose gold version with diamonds on the dial and bezel. The quartz-powered Cartier Santos-Dumont is a bit cheaper, starting at roughly €3.500 up to €11.500 on Wristler.
