Bigger the better: Cartier Santos 100
Back in 2004, the Cartier Santos 100 was released to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the original Cartier Santos, being released in 1904. The Santos 100 keeps up with modern standards as the case is much larger compared to the original from the 20th century. With a case measuring 42x51mm it looks more masculine compared to other Cartier Santos models in the collection.
All about the Cartier Santos 100
What’s in the name: to celebrate the 100-year anniversary of the Cartier Santos, Cartier released the Santos 100 with a larger case and the crown guard only heightens its sense of bulk. It still maintains some details from the original design from the early 1900s, with the square stainless-steel case and the eight screws which are exposed on the bezel.
When you’re in the market for a Cartier Santos 100, you can opt for a stainless-steel version, two-tone with yellow gold and the black coated titanium.
The black Cartier Santos 100 comes on a calfskin strap and looks the most masculine compared to the others. Be prepared to spend around €4.500 up to €7.000 for a piece.
The other new feature on the Cartier Santos 100 is the line of chronographs. You can get these in black coated titanium with a rose gold bezel, hands and pushers. You can take it home for roughly €7.000, depending on the state of the watch.
