This Vacheron Constantin is a remarkable survivor from 1955, preserved in ‘new old stock’ condition. Watches from this era are rarely encountered in unworn condition, making this example very appealing to collectors who are looking for only but the best. The thin 18k rose gold case measures 33.5 mm in diameter and is complemented by a clean white dial, with applied rose gold baton markers. The warm tone of the rose gold case and markers create an elegant and refined appearance, which will be enhanced by sunlight. It has an amazing presence on the wrist. Inside runs the ultra-thin Vacheron Constantin calibre 1001, one of the manufacture’s most celebrated hand wound movements. Introduced during the 1950’s, the calibre 1001 helped establish Vacheron Constantin as a leader in elegant ultra-thin watchmaking and remains highly respected among collectors for its technical refinement and beautiful finishing. What truly sets apart this example is its ‘completeness’. The watch is comes with its original box, papers, strap, 18k rose gold AW-buckle, and hang tag. Finding a Vacheron Constantin from this era, in unworn condition and as a full set, is exceptionally rare. It offers a unique opportunity to acquire an absolute time capsule from one of three Switzerland’s ‘Holy Trinity’ watchmakers.

- Visible signs of wear such as scratches, small dents, or light bracelet stretch. May have been professionally polished. Fully functional mechanically.
- Fair
- Clearly visible signs of wear, including scratches, dents, or noticeable bracelet or clasp wear. Servicing may be recommended in the future. Fully functional unless otherwise stated.
