We have a real soft spot for Royal Oak models with added complications, and this superb example delivers with an annual calendar—or, in Audemars Piguet’s own words, the “Quantième Annuel.” This specific reference was introduced in 1999 and discontinued just a few years later, making it a relatively short-lived and increasingly collectible Royal Oak. The 36 mm stainless steel case is in exceptionally sharp condition, complete with the side correctors used to adjust the annual calendar. The integrated bracelet is equally impressive, currently fitting wrists up to 18 cm, and remains in outstanding condition—just look at it ! The blue Grande Tapisserie dial is superb, featuring a peripheral date display around the outer edge and a distinctive month indicator sub-dial at five o’clock, displayed in French. The annual calendar correctly differentiates between months with 30 and 31 days, requiring adjustment only once per year on March 1st. A red date hand and red typography for the 31-day months add a welcome pop of color and enhance the dial’s visual impact. This very cool Royal Oak is accompanied by a service invoice dated March 2025 from Audemars Piguet headquarters and benefits from factory service warranty coverage through March 2027.
