We know, the Swatch x Omega collab was one for the books: with sales sky-rocketing and people queuing for every Swatch store world-wide, the hype was real. These bioceramic cases with the Speedmaster look, called the MoonSwatch, was a real blast. Swatch announced a brand-new collab, this time with Swiss manufacturer Blancpain. What’s about to go down?

Teasers from Swatch and Blancpain

There are some facts and figures when it comes to this brand-new collab between Blancpain and Swatch. The first fact is that something is going down on the 9th of September 2023: probably the reveal date. The other thing we noticed, is the aquatic theme on the teasers, given by Swatch and Blancpain. The shape of the crown is for sure that of a Blancpain Fifty Fathoms. Does that mean Swatch and Blancpain are working together on a (bioceramic) diver?

Rumors about the Swatch x Blancpain

One thing that keeps running through our minds, is the fact that this collaboration could probably deliver something really cool. Swatch and Blancpain will probably go for a time or time and date watch only, which makes it possible to use a mechanical movement. Swatch is known for their Sistem51 movement, so a Swatch x Blancpain Fifty-One-Fathoms wouldn’t be that crazy, right?

We’re excited, just as when Swatch x Omega released their teases and their watches a couple of years back. We will just have to wait and sit this one out to see what’s coming this Saturday. We will keep you posted!
