The new 2023 Cartier Models

With the Watches and Wonders still going strong, we thought it was time to let you guys know what Cartier is up to these days. And damn! They’ve released some seriously cool models, such as the Tank Normale, which is far from normal. You can now also find some new colors on the Cartier Santos and Santos-Dumont with the 2023 Watches and Wonders release.

The Tank Normale

The Cartier Tank is one of the coolest looking watches ever made, with the distinctive design and sharp rectangular case. This time, Cartier released the Cartier Tank Normale with a more square case compared to the ‘regular’ Tank. The new Tank Normale comes in a 32.6 x 25.7 x 6.86mm case, made of 18-karat yellow gold or 950 platinum. The gold version of the Tank Normale features the sapphire cabochon, while the platinum piece dons a ruby crown. These ‘base’ models with a leather strap will cost you at least €33.000, while the platinum watch is sold for €37.400. Cartier is limiting these models to 200 pieces, and expect a large premium to be paid when these watches are available on the grey market.

Cartier also released the Tank Normale Skeleton, with a skeletonized dial (which looks incredible) and you can opt for the yellow gold piece, 950 platinum or the platinum piece filled with diamonds on the bezel. Starting at €115.000, these aren’t cheap. The cheapest skeletonized Tank Normale will set you back €76.500, while the most expensive one with diamonds costs over €110.000, when you’re lucky enough to get your hands on one: only 20 pieces will be made.

The new Santos collection from Cartier

The Watches & Wonders fair in Geneva is the place where the larger manufacturers introduce their newest models, such as the 2023 Cartier Santos and Santos-Dumont. You can now opt for different colors available on the Santos, and even get your hands on a diamond-filled piece with gemstones.

The Santos is an iconic piece and a must have for every enthusiast out there. You can now opt for the green dial (sunburst dial, it’s amazing) on the stainless-steel Santos, or the blue sunburst dial which is pretty cool as well. Another great update from Cartier is the fact that you can now order the medium (35.1mm) Santos with these sunburst dials.

The Santos-Dumont from 2023 is a bit different: the rose gold piece is combined with green jade, the platinum version is fitted with red jasper and the yellow gold Cartier has the blue dumortierite Roman numerals. For the enthusiasts: they come on a matching leather alligator strap. These new 2023 Cartier Santos-Dumont watches are all limited to 200 pieces.
