Description
A rare and early (c. 1920s) Vacheron Constantin wristwatch, a beautiful example from the transitional period between pocket and wristwatches.
Originally made for men, it’s now just as natural a choice for women, with a look that suits both.
The solid 18K yellow gold case is fully signed, with all covers closing neatly and securely. It carries the charming proportions of the trench style, with thin lugs and a round case.
The enamel dial is beautifully preserved, featuring black Arabic numerals, a red “12,” and a sunken small-seconds subdial, a quintessential design of the era.
The manually wound movement is signed and numbered, running, but as expected for a watch of this age, not with the precision of more modern pieces.
A rare historical timepiece by the oldest continuous watchmaker in the world.
