Voor wie op zoek is naar een vintage Rolex Submariner, komt met enige regelmaat uit bij een 5513 als kanshebber. Dit model heeft de juiste specificaties ten opzichte van sommige andere vintage Rolex horloges.
De 5513 is voorzien van plexiglas, wat per definitie resulteert in een mooi en warm gevoel om de pols. En dit model bevat, in tegenstelling tot de 5512, maar twee lijnen tekst aan de onderkant van de wijzerplaat. Hierdoor is deze wijzerplaat vaak beter in balans en oogt rustiger. Daarnaast is de Submariner 5513 simpelweg betaalbaarder dan veel andere (vintage) Submariners. Van bijna elke andere Submariner met plexiglas zijn de prijzen minimaal dubbel zo hoog als bij de 5513. Genoeg redenen waarom deze Submariner terecht zo populair is.
Er zijn grofweg drie verschillende wijzerplaten mogelijk in de 5513. In chronologische volgorde: de Gilt, Matte en Glossy dials. Deze is uitgevoerd met de laatste, de Glossy wijzerplaat. Vooral te herkennen aan de glimmende lak van de plaat en de witgouden randen om de uurmarkeringen heen.
Het hier aangeboden model wordt geleverd met een nieuwer Rolex doosje. Zowel de kast als de band verkeren in erg nette staat. De kastpoten zijn strak en vol.

- Minor signs of wear such as hairline marks or small surface scratches. Case, bezel, and bracelet retain sharp edges and overall form. May have been professionally polished without affecting the original contours. Fully functional mechanically.
- Good
- Visible signs of wear such as scratches, small dents, or light bracelet stretch. May have been professionally polished. Fully functional mechanically.
- Fair
- Clearly visible signs of wear, including scratches, dents, or noticeable bracelet or clasp wear. Servicing may be recommended in the future. Fully functional unless otherwise stated.
