We’ve always had a soft spot for the cool 79xxx-series Tudor chronographs — affectionately nicknamed the “Big Block.” As the name suggests, these models feature a thicker case designed to house the automatic chronograph movement, which was quite the innovation at the time. This particular example is in excellent condition, with a rotating bezel that remains equally well-preserved. The black dial is especially striking, with cream colored sub dials and lovely cream colored lume plus offering strong contrast against the grainy black dial. It’s fitted with an Tudor Oyster-style bracelet 78360 with end links 589 and a clasped marked “p6”, which complements the robust case design perfectly. The watch and its movement have been fully serviced by our watch maker. Big, Bold, and a cool lay out we love this black marvel!
