Description
From the Champagne region of France, Pascal Coyon is an independent watchmaker who attended one of France's most prestigious watchmaking schools, Lycée Edgar Faure in Morteau, with alums being some of the best watchmakers hailing from France. However, upon graduating, rather than heading straight to Switzerland, Coyon headed southwest to set up his own workshop in Bayonne, France where he specialised in repairing and restoring clocks and watches. This occupied approximately 15 years of his career before taking the grand and commendable leap towards creating his own brand and watches. His goal was simple: to produce traditionally abiding chronometers with hand finishing at affordable prices.
Coyon is a complete watchmaker, having first conceptualised and created the calibre 1900 in a year and a half. Guided by the appearance of pocket watch calibres, all movement finishing and assembly is completed in his workshop, with the assistance of CNC being used for plates and bridges.
