With all the New Year’s resolutions (which feel like ages ago) we started 2026 fresh. We’ve set ourselves a target, and thus far we’re getting there. You guys have been amazing in January as well, with some truly unique pieces. We’ve picked our favorite watches sold in January for you, and we can already tell you that you’ll need to subscribe to our newsletter for the February recap. Usually, January tends to be a slow month when it comes to selling watches. We get it: we’ve just had December which is always crazy, and thus everyone decides to take it a bit slower in January of the new year. Understandable. But, you guys didn’t really slow it down on our platform to be honest, since we saw a 25% increase in sales compared to January 2025, which is a great start of the year. Appreciate it!
As you know by now, we pick 5 of our favorite watches sold within the month. We always write this Wristler Insights a little later, due to the fact that you’ve always got 14 days to return the watch if you don’t like it. So, that time is over now, so we can finalize January. With some amazing pieces, amazing stories and returning customers (which still feels like a dream). Let’s get to it!
Not just a regular Seamaster Aqua Terra, but a bright blue radiant dial (with open caseback, the best bracelet ever from Omega, and a personal delivery from us to Mr E. He already bought a blue Rolex Oyster Perpetual 41 about 16 months ago, so it was a pleasure to welcome him back to our platform. Appreciate it, Mr E!
Yes, that’s a pretty long name for a watch. We can include the reference for you, but that’s way too difficult to be honest. But still: this watch is amazing. Roman numerals on the white dial, a moonphase complication and a power reserve indicator. Wow! What a watch. We’ve sold this watch to a new customer on Wristler from France. A well-known watch, and regularly sold through Wristler. Due to the fact that it's available way under retail, it’s getting more and more popular. But still, we wanted to highlight one that we sold in January, because it’s green. And we love it! We welcomed a new customer from The Netherlands with this purchase. Thanks for your trust, Mr E!
A rose gold goodie, full of charm and elegance. That’s the summary when it comes to this amazing IWC Chronograph in rose gold. In mint condition, this watch found it’s way to the new owner in Germany. Another trend we’ve seen: loads of new customers from Germany which is awesome. Thanks, Mr P!
Another returning customer, who bought a Rolex Daytona Panda just a couple of months ago. And the funny story behind this is, that this customer only wants new things. A brand-new car, a brand-new stickered watch (like the Daytona) but now, he was eyeing for a Blue Motif Datejust 41. Which is discontinued, so really hard to find (especially unworn and stickered). So, this was his first experience buying a pre-owned watch, and it didn’t disappoint. Congrats on this piece, Mr D! Awesome to see you back at our humble HQ.
We couldn’t be more excited for the year to start. We’ve had an amazing 2025, and now 2026 officially started out being even better. And we’re grateful for that.
