Wristler’s Prediction: Rolex on Watches&Wonders 2026

Just like every year, the internet will blow up on the predictions for Rolex and their releases on Watches&Wonders. So, the same goes for 2026. What will Rolex be releasing this year, and for some even more important, what’s being discontinued? We don’t know, as we don’t have connections with them internally, but we will show you our predictions for 2026 on what’s happening, based on the previous years, previous releases and our thoughts. Let’s get into it!

Looking back at 2025

Watches & Wonders 2025 was mostly booming because of the introduction of the Rolex Land-Dweller. Even though we don’t really like the name, the watch feels a bit too busy and shiny and it feels like a hype, this was the release from Rolex in 2025. All the different dial colors on Oyster Perpetuals, the white gold Sprite, all that wasn’t that interesting, even though we do like the newest colors on the OP. Almost forgot: the Settimo bracelet on the 1908 was new as well. And we have to admit: that’s amazing. As watch lovers, we can’t wait for the 2026 releases, so we will get into what’s about to happen (please note: these are predictions, no facts just yet).

Happy Birthday OP & Milgauss

Some watches will celebrate a milestone in 2026, so the internet is expecting things to happen around these dates. Especially when it comes to two models: the Oyster Perpetual which got introduced in 1926 (at least the water-proof Oyster-case did) and the Milgauss, which will celebrate its 70th birthday in 2026. Is Rolex re-releasing a Milgauss? We don’t know, but we will make sure to keep you updated.

So, last year Rolex decided to clean-up the Oyster Perpetual with some new colors and those have been incredibly popular by the crowd. Not just the new colors, but the matte finish on the dials were welcomed by the industry, making the OP great again. Just what the Oyster Perpetual needed.

Rolex discontinued the Milgauss three years ago, so on first notice it wouldn’t make sense to re-release the Milgauss. But, as the internet goes, Rolex will celebrate the 70 year anniversary on the Milgauss in 2026. Would that be a warm-up for a brand-new Milgauss?

What’s probably happening

We get it. Rolex is here to stay, so they’ll probably release some new dial colors on some watches. Yippie. That’s something we don’t really care about, since these new dial colors won’t be that surprising, right? What would be a good release?

Updating the 1908

Last year, in 2025, Rolex released the amazing Settimo bracelet on the yellow gold Rolex 1908. And that’s the same as hitting the jackpot. Got some oldskool GF vibes, or vintage Patek bracelet vibes. Which is simply lovely. What usually happens with Rolex is that they will release the bracelet in one form, in this case yellow gold. Will they be releasing the Settimo bracelet for the white gold 1908 and the platinum 1908 as well? Probably. And that’s a perfect way to update the 1908.

Adding some flair to the Land-Dweller

As you’ll know, the Land-Dweller released last year, and they’ve released it in steel and white gold, rose gold and platinum. Guess what’s about to happen? Indeed. A yellow gold Land-Dweller, with a price tag you won’t believe, and maybe even a Rolesor two-tone Land-Dweller made of steel and yellow gold (or even Everose, steel with rose gold). That’s usually what happens within the Rolex catalog after a successful release of a new model. We wouldn’t be surprised if Rolex also adds some new dials to the Land-Dweller, maybe even a non-honeycomb dial (which would be better in our humble opinion) so it won’t be as busy as it is right now.

Make the Air-King great again

This won’t probably happen. Ever. But, the Air-King is a nice watch, that’s for sure. But, it’s the least popular watch on Wristler as we check the data. So, would it be an option for Rolex to recreate a nice Air-King (maybe in smaller sizes) with a different dial layout? Or is this just something that Rolex will throw on the table if someone really wants a Rolex and can’t buy an Explorer or Oyster Perpetual, to keep them satisfied? Don’t know just yet, but it would be pretty cool if Rolex decides to give the Air-King an upgrade.

Discontinued Rolex Watches

Yes, one of the most important things for some of you. What’s Rolex about to discontinue in 2026? The internet goes wild again with the Rolex GMT-Master II ‘Pepsi’, but that has been a rumor for 5 (?) years now? A strange thing to see is that the GMT-Master II is still on the Rolex website, but on some of the AD’s websites it’s no longer available. So, we will see if that’s happening. Our thoughts on what’s being discontinued is probably the Rolex Sea-Dweller ‘red’, since most people opt for the James Cameron.

Rolex Predictions 2026

As mentioned before, these are predictions and our thoughts on what Rolex should do. We will update you accordingly when there’s news through our newsletter and our Wristler Insights of course. As you’ll know by now. Sharing this prediction or using our pictures? No worries, we’re happy to see the source mentioned!
