Day-Date 36 “Havana Brown”
We’re happy to offer you guys another gorgeous Rolex Day-Date. This time it’s a beautiful and near new 118239 Day-Date 36 “Havana Brown” executed in 18k white gold, and manufactured in 2001. The watch was first sold in February of 2003 and was cautiously worn these last 20 years or so. It is a watch that will not be noticed as quickly as its yellow gold brothers, because the white gold Day-Date is a much more undercover watch to wear – “Stealth wealth” is always a nice way to describe it, and there is some truth to that, because one does not buy a white gold Day-Date just to show off. It is usually a passionate and deliberate decision.

The case and bracelet on this white gold Day-Date still look extremely fresh with strong lugs, a fat case and a President bracelet without stretch. As a matter of fact, we were the first ones to service this watch in 20 years time, and only a slight hand-polish was applied during service, making this 118239 Day-Date a watch which remains in near new conditions. Although the white gold is pretty undercover, the copper brown, Sunburst finished dial is absolutely phenomenal and positively stands out, and shows about four different colors of brown depending on the light. The 18k white gold Roman numerals are clean and help to clearly show the wearer of the watch the correct time. However, those numbers are pushed to the background by again the fantastic color of that copper brown dial. All combined it’s truly a perfect match for this fairly modern Day-Date. The 18k white gold fluted bezel also remains in a very good and razor sharp conditions – The original 18k white gold President bracelet is extremely solid and again shows no stretch with a sturdy concealed clasp. Also notice the original laser-etched crystal with the Rolex crown etched into the sapphire at the six o’clock position – everything simply checks out, this is a super solid and all original specimen, of a simply gorgeous 118239 Day-Date 36 “Havana Brown”
