Description
The 222 Jumbo Ref. 44018 was released in 1977 to mark the brand's 222nd anniversary. It was not very popular at first, and thus it was only produced in limited numbers and discontinued in 1985. However, it has since gained a lot of admirers and is now an extremely rare collector's item. The watch is one of the predecessors of the Overseas model, which was launched in the 1990s, as the brand's counterpart to Audemars Piguet's Royal Oak and Patek Philippe's Nautilus.
