Cartier Ellipse “Paris” PM White Gold Ref. 67081 – 1970s
Rare and highly collectible Cartier Ellipse “Paris” PM in solid 18k white gold, reference 67081, an elegant and elusive creation from Cartier’s celebrated Louis Cartier Collection of the 1970s. Produced in very limited numbers, examples in white gold are exceptionally difficult to find today, making this one of the rarest and most desirable vintage Cartier dress watches.
The beautifully proportioned horizontal Ellipse case measures 26 × 24 mm and is crafted entirely in solid 18k white gold. The case remains unpolished, preserving its original lines, crisp geometry, and authentic vintage character—details highly appreciated by serious collectors.
The watch features a stunning original Paris-signed dial, remarkably well preserved and completely free of cracks. The crisp white surface provides the perfect backdrop for the elegant black Roman numerals, creating a timeless and unmistakably Cartier aesthetic. Signature blued steel hands and the iconic blue sapphire cabochon crown complete the refined design.
Protected by its original mineral crystal, the watch presents beautifully and retains a wonderful level of originality throughout.
A particularly desirable feature is its provenance within the original Louis Cartier Collection, a series that produced some of the maison’s most elegant and sophisticated watches. White gold examples from this period are rarely encountered, especially in such well-preserved condition.
The watch is fitted with a handmade black leather strap crafted in Belgium and is accompanied by its original Cartier Paris leather strap, further enhancing its collectibility. While the original strap no longer retains its original buckle, it remains a valuable and desirable accessory.
