Distinctive and highly collectible Cartier Obus Quadrant in 18k yellow gold, reference A102, introduced in 1984 as part of Cartier’s iconic Quadrant collection. Bold, architectural, and unmistakably Cartier, this rare model represents one of the maison’s most creative design periods.
The large model case measures 25 × 32 mm and is immediately recognizable by its powerful square form and signature “Obus” (bullet-shaped) lugs, creating a unique wrist presence unlike any other Cartier design. The case remains in amazing overall condition, showcasing the quality and craftsmanship of this rare reference.
The true highlight of the watch is its spectacular deep burgundy red enamel bezel, featuring integrated minute markers and hour indexes. Rich in colour and depth, the enamel creates a striking contrast against the warm 18k yellow gold case and the minimalist dial, signed simply “Cartier” and “Paris.” This elegant combination perfectly captures Cartier’s mastery of both design and decorative arts.
Powered by a Cartier quartz movement and accompanied by a full Cartier service completed in 2026, the watch benefits from a Cartier international warranty valid until April 2028, offering both collectibility and peace of mind.
Adding further provenance, the watch comes complete with its original Cartier box and Cartier service papers from the 1990s, demonstrating long-term ownership and careful maintenance throughout its life.
The watch is fitted with its original Cartier vermeil gold pin buckle, preserving its authentic vintage presentation.
