Description
This Cartier Must de Tank is a classic early manual wind example from the 1980’s, executed in the smaller size variant of the iconic Tank design. The vermeil case, gold plated over silver, preserves the elegant proportions and timeless geometry that define the model. The watch features the desirable original black dial with white Roman numerals, one of the most popular and recognizable configurations within the Must de Cartier line. The contrast of the black lacquered dial against the warm tone of the case gives the watch a strong graphic presence. Power comes from an ETA manual wind movement, found in the earlier Must de Tank models and appreciated for its mechanical character compared to later quartz variants. The watch is fitted with an unworn hand made strap, complementing the originality and elegant appearance of the piece. Serviced in July 2026, and not worn since.
