In the elite world of Swiss watchmaking, there are certain brands that make an immediate impact and leave connoisseurs speechless. Cvstos is one such brand. Since its creation in 2005, Cvstos has relied on a high-tech approach to watch production, boldly managing to impose an innovative style and respond to market demand. Although relatively young, the brand has good mentors and partners – its founder, Sassoun Sirmakes, is the son of Vartan Sirmakes, one of the owners not of just any brand, but of Franck Muller Watchland Group – the man certainly had someone to learn from… Literally translated from Latin, Cvstos means “Guardian”. Always one step ahead of its time, Cvstos manages to achieve a perfect balance between the principles of traditional watchmaking, a modern approach to design and the most contemporary innovations. The watch we have the pleasure of presenting to you today is the Cvstos Challenge Jet-Liner. It has a very recognisable case, typical of the watches of the brand of the father of Cvstos’ founder, but the son has also managed to do very well. The case is made of high-quality Grade 5 titanium with black DLC coating and generous use of 18-carat rose gold – the crown, screws and dial are made from this material. The crown is protected by an orange rubber ring. The back is transparent and allows the precise yet beautiful movement to be seen, with a skeletonised rotor made of titanium alloy – the CVSTOS Caliber CVS410, with 21 jewels, 42 hours of power reserve and operating at 28,800 vibrations. The unique design of the Cvstos Challenge Jet-Liner is complemented by the complex architecture of the case, which echoes the skeletonised design of the dial. At “6 o’clock”, in a small but clearly visible window, the date indicator is positioned.
