This Patek Philippe “Hour Glass” reference 1593 was introduced in 1944 and features a dramatic, ergonomic silhouette, defined by its concave and convex sides. Measuring 41.5 × 25 mm, the case offers a bold, avant-garde presence that remains striking even by today’s standards. The silvered dial is finely brushed and features delicate black enamel Patek Philippe signature. Applied numerals at 6, 9, and 12 are complemented by arrow-shaped markers for the remaining hours, along with a beautifully proportioned small seconds at 6 o’clock. The watch is paired with the pictured leather strap and powered by the iconic hand-wound calibre 9.90—one of the most elegant in-house movements produced by Patek Philippe during the golden age of watchmaking.
