Here we have a beautiful and correct (neo)vintage Audemars Piguet Royal Oak reference 14790ST, delivered with an extract of the archives. This model was introduced in the year 1992. This specific piece dates from 2003 and features the well-known, period-correct white and iconic “Grande Tapisserie” dial, with the so-called short markers (short indices and hour indications). This makes the watch, in combination with the steel and the white dial, fresh, understated, and sporty.
What we are naturally very happy about is the size of the 36 mm case, which in our opinion is the perfect size and does not need to be larger. Additionally, the razor-sharp case and bezel, where all original angles and lines are still perfectly visible. The integrated bracelet, with its period-correct clasp (without the AP logo integrated into the clasp), is also still in very nice condition, showing only light and acceptable stretch. Of course, we must not forget the stunning sparkle that the strap gives thanks to Audemars Piguet's specific polishing technique.
Another important aspect is the renowned Audemars Piguet 2225 movement, based on a high-quality Jaeger-LeCoultre base movement. Jaeger-LeCoultre is known as one of the most prestigious movement suppliers in the Swiss watch industry and has supplied high-quality ébauches for several top brands during this period, which were then further finished and refined by Audemars Piguet. This movement has been fully serviced by our watchmaker.
