De Rolex Datejust (Ref. 16013) is de belichaming van luxe en vakmanschap uit de jaren '80. Dit specifieke model, geleverd op 24 december 1987, is uitgevoerd in de tijdloze combinatie van roestvrij staal en 18k geelgoud. De champagne wijzerplaat is voorzien van een prachtige 'sunburst' afwerking, waardoor het licht op een elegante manier wordt gereflecteerd. De toevoeging van de Romeinse cijfers op de buitenste minutentring geeft dit horloge een verfijnde, bijna koninklijke uitstraling. Binnenin de 36 mm kast bevindt zich het hoogwaardige Rolex Kaliber 3035. Dit uurwerk was revolutionair voor zijn tijd omdat het de "Quickset" functie introduceerde, waardoor u de datum onafhankelijk van de tijd kunt verstellen — een essentieel gemak voor de moderne drager. Ondanks de mechanische vooruitgang behoudt dit model de vintage charme van een hoogwaardig plexiglas, wat zorgt voor die karakteristieke warme gloed op de wijzerplaat. Dit een van de latere exemplaren van de 16013-serie, voordat de 16233 het stokje overnam. Het horloge verkeert in een uitmuntende staat en de Jubilee-band vertoont minimale rek voor zijn leeftijd.
