The Rolex Datejust (Ref. 16013) with the rare champagne Tapestry dial is a true collector's item. While most Datejusts from the 80s have a smooth dial, this "Tapestry" version offers a unique pattern reminiscent of the classic elegance from that period. The vertical relief on the dial creates a spectacular play of light, giving the watch a different character with every movement of the wrist.
This model is crafted from a combination of robust stainless steel and 18k yellow gold, the classic "Rolesor" look that gave the Datejust its iconic status. The characteristic golden 'fluted' bezel has remained sharp and perfectly frames the dial. Inside, the reliable Rolex Caliber 3035 ticks, the first Datejust movement with the "Quickset" date function, significantly increasing its daily usability.
Year 1986. The watch is in excellent vintage condition, with a tight Jubilee bracelet and sharp lugs. The 36mm case diameter remains the gold standard for elegance and wearability. This is not just any Datejust; it is a piece of Rolex history with one of the most distinctive dials ever produced in Geneva.
