Heritage Narrative Debuting in 1981 and produced until the late 1980s, the Rolex GMT-Master 16750 marked a pivotal evolution in Rolex’s dual-time travel watch lineage. As the successor to the ref. 1675, it retained the beloved vintage aesthetic while introducing significant technical upgrades, most notably the higher-beat calibre 3075 with quickset date. This made the 16750 one of the most practical and desirable transitional references in the GMT-Master family. The 1987 example presented here features a classic black dial paired with a stainless-steel Oyster case and bracelet, striking a balance between tool-watch functionality and Rolex’s trademark refinement. The plexiglass crystal adds warmth and vintage charm, preserving the look collectors associate with the golden era of GMT-Master production.
