Met trots bieden wij deze prachtige Rolex GMT-Master uit 1982 aan.
In 1979 bracht Rolex de opvolger uit van de GMT-Master 1675: de 16750. Deze referentie staat bekend als een transitional. Dit omdat deze referentie het relatief grote gat dichtte tussen de vintage 1675 en de nieuwere daaropvolgende referenties.
De 16750 heeft het vernieuwde 3075-uurwerk met datum quickset. Daarnaast is de waterdichtheid van de kast verbeterd van 50 naar 100 meter.
Het grootste verschil zat in de wijzerplaat. De 16750 was de eerste GMT-Master die een glimmende gelakte wijzerplaat met de witgouden omlijstingen van de uurmarkeringen bevatte. Volgens hetzelfde principe dat Rolex nu gebruikt. De vroege varianten waren nog voorzien van een matte wijzerplaat, ze zijn daarnaast ook vaak vervangen tijdens onderhoud bij Rolex voor een glossy wijzerplaat. Met andere woorden: de matte wijzerplaat is begeerd. En met goede reden, want wat is dit een prachtige wijzerplaat.
Het horloge komt uit 1982 en bevindt zich in zeer nette staat! De Rolex heeft gebruikerssporen rondom, maar is niet veel gepolijst. De wijzerplaat is super fraai, evenals zijn de wijzers. Er is een lichte donkere patina te zien tussen de uurmarkeringen, enkel in bepaald licht. Het uurwerk heeft vorig jaar een volledige onderhoudsbeurt gehad.
Het horloge is op de foto's voorzien van een periode-correcte red back insert. De kleuren van deze pepsi zijn werkelijk prachtig verkleurd! Daarnaast wordt het horloge ook geleverd met een nieuwere blue back service insert. Om extra te kunnen afwisselen zijn er twee inserts bij geleverd van het gerespecteerde CrownArtCustoms. Namelijk een fuchsia pepsi en een faded zwarte bezel.
