Description

The Heritage Monopusher Chronograph presented here offers a solution for the chronograph, rarely seen today, where all the timepiece's functions are controlled via a single pusher.
Watchmakers have long sought solutions to simplify the timing of short intervals on chronographs. Undoubtedly, one of the pioneers in the creation and mass production of such models is Minerva – this manufacturer has a rich history and was one of the leading names of the 20th century. About 20 years ago, the brand was acquired by Richemont and in 2006 was incorporated into Montblanc. This model was introduced at SIHH 2019 and aims to pay tribute to Minerva – this is evident both in the retro design of the dial and the engraved case back, which pays homage to the renowned Swiss manufacturer. The clean lines of the case are interrupted only by the pusher, which is integrated into the crown of the timepiece. To start, stop, or reset the timer, you simply need to press it one or more times.
The dial is also very clean – a 30-minute counter at 3 o'clock displays the time measured by the central seconds hand, the seconds subdial at 9 o'clock lends symmetry to the dial, and the curved dauphine-style hands move around the numerals and indices, completing the overall vintage aesthetic.
The case is of 316L stainless steel and has contemporary dimensions of 42×14.7mm. We particularly like the traditional round shape of this watch, and the short, slightly curved lugs lend it additional charm with their distinct appearance.
The dial is protected by a slightly domed sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating, and while the solid case back does not offer a view of the magnificent automatic movement with its rotating rotor, it does allow for an engraving of the old Minerva factory.
The movement is the Montblanc MB 25.12, based on the Sellita SW 510 automatic movement with a 46-hour power reserve, has 33 jewels, and operates at 28,800 vibrations/hour.
