Description
Tudor is opgericht om te fungeren als betaalbaarder alternatief van Rolex. Dit komt vooral door het gebruik van ETA uurwerken ten opzichte van in-house uurwerken. Daarnaast kon Tudor profiteren van de ontwikkelingskosten die Rolex al had gemaakt. Deze Tudor Submariner is daar een duidelijk voorbeeld van. Veel onderdelen worden gedeeld met Rolex, zoals bijvoorbeeld de kast en de kroon.
Het hier aangeboden model komt uit 1976 en wordt gekenmerkt door de blauwe wijzerplaat en bezel en de iconische "snowflake" uurwijzer. Om deze feature in ere te behouden gebruikt Tudor deze nog steeds op een aantal horloges.
De Tudor Submariner heeft door zijn bijna 50 jarige bestaan aardig wat meegemaakt. Het horloge is een tijdje niet goed waterbestendig geweest. Hierdoor hebben de wijzers, wijzerplaat en bezel hun patina gekregen. Ook is de kast aangetast. Hierom is het horloge recent volledig opgeknapt. In het uurwerk is een flink aantal onderdelen vervangen en zo zijn er meer zaken aangepakt.

- Visible signs of wear such as scratches, small dents, or light bracelet stretch. May have been professionally polished. Fully functional mechanically.

- Clearly visible signs of wear, including scratches, dents, or noticeable bracelet or clasp wear. Servicing may be recommended in the future. Fully functional unless otherwise stated.
