BLANCPAIN Diver 1960ies Bathyscape Toolwatch Diver. An early version of the Blancpain Bathyscaphe from the 1960s, this watch perfectly encapsulates the history of Blancpain Diver. The watch has a gray “confetti” dial that has aged very evenly. The development and military history of these tool watches is particularly interesting at Blancpain. Armed forces from around the world were among the first users of Blancpain diving watches, including the French and American navies. Early underwater explorers also used the new diving watch, most notably Jacques Cousteau, who became an important advocate for Blancpain, among many others. A very beautiful watch at an attractive price in the Blancpain vintage diving watch collection.
