A must have: vintage watch

When you’re just as crazy as we are, you must have a vintage watch in your collection. A vintage piece usually tells a beautiful story since it’s been worn, might have some scratches and signs of wear and some nice patina on the dial. These vintage pieces are pretty affordable compared to new watches, starting at €1.000 for a vintage Omega Seamaster, Longines or a gold plated Chonograph Suisse for example. But we’ll talk about chronographs later on. A vintage piece can be worn on a leather strap or a stainless-steel (and gold) bracelet, depending on the style you like to wear. The vintage watches with a leather strap can be a perfect dress-watch, making that a number one in your 4-piece watch collection.

The sporty chronograph

We’ve mentioned the chronograph before: when you’re building your ultimate 4-piece watch collection, a sporty but classy chronograph should be in your top-4 as well. What about a Chronograph Suisse with a manual wound movement in solid gold or gold plated? Already available for roughly €1.200 in a nice shape, this is the cheapest option. You can also get your hands on a Omega Speedmaster Reduced in 39mm with the automatic movement for roughly €3.000, being the perfect daily beater as a chronograph. Another option would be the TAG Heuer Calibre 16 or Monaco, the one that Max Verstappen is wearing. You can get your hands on a TAG Heuer chronograph for roughly €3.000 and up.

A modern watch

When it comes to modern watches, there is plenty to choose from. You need a modern watch in your 4-piece collection, maybe as a daily beater or just because you’re more into shiny new watches. What about a Seiko Presage or a Tudor Black Bay? These pieces can be found starting at under €1.000 for a Presage, and roughly €2.600 for a pre-owned Black Bay. The diver

You don’t have to be into diving when wearing a diver’s watch.
