Description
From 1939 this rare Omega manual wind cal. 23.4 sc movement. Was recently serviced by watchmaker but Please pay attention to the following, some parts are missing. The 23.4sc movement is missing at least two pieces (inside the red circle drawn). the hands are not original and the second hand is missing, the watch still works, sold in this condition.
Case:
o All in stainless steel with marks and scratches all over, serial 9960724, case and back case matching ref. number "300" (shape case identical to ref. 2175)
o Fine condition with strong geometry
o 30mm without crown / 36mm lug to lug / 9.3mm tickness / 16mm lug width
o new generic plexiglass
Movement:
o Mechanical manual wind omega 23.4sc serial 9173410 - serviced by watchmaker on November 2022
(movement was disassembled, washed, lubricated)
This was the first calibre with center seconds
Dial & Hands:
o Untouched greenish gray with bronze scale. marked: ‘Importé de Suisse’, this indicates that the watch was supplied specifically to the French market as Customs in France required imported watches to clearly state the country of manufacture in French.
Bracelet Material:
o New 16mm nato khaki
Conclusion / Condition:
despite the missing parts it works and is a highly collectible piece
