Description
The Rolex Daytona reference 6265 "Big Red" is not only incredibly beautiful, it is also significant in the big picture of the Daytona family. Together with its sister reference 6263, it was the last generation to use the Valjoux 727. These references were, therefore, the last Daytonas with manual winding.
They were launched in the early 1970s and then removed from Rolex catalogues in 1988 to make way for the subsequent Daytona generation. The 6265 is therefore something special - also because of its black dial, which is adorned with the word "Daytona" in red letters, the screw-in pushers and the steel bezel.
