When Cartier went back to their core principles from 1998 to 2008, with a renewed focus on design and mechanics, they revisited their archives, bringing-back historic designs, and recreated some of their most iconic pieces under the name of CPCP (Cartier Paris Collection Privee). One of these models was the Cartier Tortue:
Back in 1912, pioneering watchmaker Louis Cartier designed the original tortoise-inspired watch, the Tortue. It was only the third ever watch design by Cartier. At a time when most watches were round, its accented form and unprecedented design went on to shape a classic of Cartier watchmaking.
This Cartier CPCP Tortue features a 18K yellow gold case contrasting a beautiful silver guilloche dial. and is powered by the Cartier calibre 430MC.
