Heritage NarrativeThe Patek Philippe Nautilus reference 5811/1G-001 is the successor to the highly regarded 5711, preserving the essential character of the original Nautilus while introducing a larger 41 mm profile. Its design traces back to Gérald Genta’s distinctive interpretation of the sports watch, with the horizontally embossed dial, rounded octagonal bezel, and integrated bracelet remaining central to the model’s identity.This 2025 example is unworn and presented as a full set. It is accompanied by EU Patek Philippe papers, the original box, and a Patek Philippe warranty valid until September 2030. The blue gradient dial gives the watch its defining visual character, shifting subtly across the surface while retaining the clear, structured layout associated with the Nautilus.The 18-karat white gold construction gives the reference a more precious and formal presence than its steel predecessors, while the integrated white gold bracelet maintains the model’s unmistakable proportions and continuity of line. The two-part case structure also recalls the monobloc architecture of the original Nautilus “Jumbo” reference 3700, connecting the modern 5811/1G to an important part of the collection’s history.Inside, Patek Philippe’s self-winding calibre 26-330 S C provides the underlying mechanical character of the watch.
