Description
Rolex Submariner No Date 124060 is an absolute watchmaking icon and one of the most recognisable dive watches in the world. Its black dial, ceramic bezel and Oyster bracelet create a configuration that has defined the modern sports watch for decades.
The no-date Submariner has a particularly pure character. Without a date window or Cyclops lens, the dial remains perfectly symmetrical. As a result, the overall design stays exceptionally clean and close to the original philosophy of the model.
Reference 124060 was introduced in 2020 as the successor to the 114060. The case increased to 41 mm, while Rolex simultaneously slimmed the lugs and fitted a broader Oyster bracelet. Consequently, the watch has a more balanced and classical profile than its predecessor.
The case is crafted from Oystersteel. Its upper surfaces are brushed, while the case sides are polished. Therefore, the watch retains its purposeful tool-watch appearance while remaining refined enough for everyday wear.
The black dial offers outstanding legibility. Large hour markers and signature hands use Chromalight with long-lasting blue luminescence. Moreover, the absence of a date display preserves the perfect balance of the dial.
A unidirectional rotating bezel with a black Cerachrom insert completes the design. The ceramic insert is highly resistant to scratches, while the numerals and graduations are coated with platinum. Therefore, the bezel combines durability with a distinctly premium finish.
Inside beats the manufacture Rolex Calibre 3230. The automatic movement provides approximately 70 hours of power reserve and carries the Superlative Chronometer certification. Furthermore, it features a blue Parachrom hairspring and Paraflex shock absorbers.
The Calibre 3230 offers precision of -2/+2 seconds per day after casing. Thanks to its approximately 70-hour power reserve, the watch can easily be left unworn for an entire weekend and still be running when worn again.
The Oyster bracelet features solid three-piece links and an Oysterlock safety clasp. In addition, the Rolex Glidelock extension system allows precise bracelet adjustment without tools. This is extremely practical both for diving and everyday wear.
The Submariner also remains a genuine professional dive watch. A Triplock screw-down crown, sapphire crystal and water resistance to 300 metres ensure serious technical capability.
Rolex Submariner No Date 124060 is, in my opinion, one of the purest configurations in the modern Rolex collection. There are no unnecessary additions. Instead, the watch offers excellent legibility, balanced proportions and a design that remains virtually timeless.
This example dates from 2026 and comes complete with all original Rolex boxes and documents.
