De Rolex Air-King ref. 14000 werd geïntroduceerd in de jaren ’90 en bleef dicht bij het originele ontwerp. Met een kast van 34 mm, een strakke wijzerplaat en een automatisch uurwerk is dit een van de meer ingetogen Rolex Air-King modellen.
De Rolex Air-King 14000 is geleverd met verschillende wijzerplaten, zoals zilver, blauw en zwart. Daarnaast zijn er varianten met klassieke streepindexen, maar ook uitvoeringen met de kenmerkende 3-6-9 cijfers. Dit model staat bekend om zijn eenvoudige uitstraling en wordt vaak gezien als een klassieke, dagelijkse vintage Rolex.
De (neo-)vintage Rolex Air-King die we hier voor ons hebben dateert uit circa 1997/1998 en verkeert, met zijn vlijmscherpe 34 mm kast, in een prachtige conditie. Hier worden wij natuurlijk weer blij van! De sportieve, maar ook elegante, matchende blauwe wijzerplaat met 3-6-9 uuraanduidingen zorgt ervoor dat dit horloge perfect is voor dagelijks gebruik en geschikt is voor iedere gelegenheid. Deze Air-King is natuurlijk voorzien van de bekende sportieve Rolex Oyster-band, die periode-correct is met zijn U clasp code en een lichte, acceptabele rek vertoont voor zijn leeftijd.
Het betrouwbare Rolex kaliber 3000 is gecheckt en had dit keer geen behoefte aan onderhoud, waardoor het de tijd keurig bijhoudt met een amplitude van 285, een afwijking van 0 tot +2 seconden per dag en een beat error van 0,0 ms, klaar voor jarenlang draagplezier!
