Gallet Chronograph EP40 – Gilt Black Dial (U.S. Market Import)
A remarkable example from one of Switzerland’s most historically important chronograph manufacturers, this Gallet EP40 chronograph embodies the technical precision and understated elegance that defined Excelsior Park–powered tool watches of the mid-20th century. Featuring a deep black lacquer dial with gilt accents, a sharp 36 mm steel case, and the revered Excelsior Park Calibre 40, this piece represents the pinnacle of Gallet’s chronograph production.
Rarely seen in this configuration—and freshly serviced—this watch also carries U.S. import marks (JXR) on the movement, confirming it was originally delivered to the American market. A beautiful and highly collectible expression of Gallet’s legacy, especially noteworthy in light of the brand’s recent acquisition by Breitling.
