Description
The Rolex GMT-Master II 16713 is a classic two-tone travel watch that combines a 40mm stainless steel Oyster case with 18kt yellow-gold details. Produced during the pre-ceramic GMT-Master II era, the reference is known for its aluminium 24-hour bezel, sapphire crystal, date display with Cyclops lens and distinctive steel-and-gold character.
Most examples are powered by the Rolex Calibre 3185, a self-winding automatic movement with an independently adjustable local hour hand. This allows the wearer to change local time in one-hour steps while maintaining a separate 24-hour reference time, making the GMT-Master II especially practical for travel. Very late examples may contain Calibre 3186, depending on the individual watch.
The 16713 was produced in multiple configurations, including black-dial and black-bezel versions as well as the well-known brown-and-gold Root Beer style. Examples can also be found on Oyster or Jubilee bracelets. Because these details vary by production year, the exact dial, bezel, bracelet, luminous material and movement of each watch should be assessed individually.

- Visible signs of wear such as scratches, small dents, or light bracelet stretch. May have been professionally polished. Fully functional mechanically.
- Fair
- Clearly visible signs of wear, including scratches, dents, or noticeable bracelet or clasp wear. Servicing may be recommended in the future. Fully functional unless otherwise stated.
