Description
The Rolex Day-Date 40 228238 combines one of Rolex’s most iconic designs with modern 40 mm proportions. Crafted in 18 ct yellow gold, it features a fluted bezel, President bracelet and the characteristic Day-Date display with the day at 12 o’clock and date at 3 o’clock. Depending on the individual watch, the reference can be found with a variety of dial configurations, giving each example its own character.
The watch is powered by Rolex calibre 3255, a self-winding movement with approximately 70 hours of power reserve and rapid-setting day and date functions. A scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, Cyclops lens and water resistance to 100 metres add practical everyday qualities to the unmistakable yellow-gold President design.
